Cold Conditions For North Coast

Dec 26, 2017 | 7:06 AM

An Artic outflow warning has been issued for B.C.’s north coast as cold air swarms the region.

Environment Canada says the cities and Kitimat and Terrace are included in the warning.  It says a strong artic ridge of high pressure has settled over the region.

The combination of cold temperature and strong breezes will push wind chill values as low as minus 25.  It warns residents who go outside should protect exposed skin with hats, scarves and mittens or gloves. And ensure that shelter is provided for pets and outdoor animals.
