Local Biathletes Book Ticket To BC Winter Games

Local biathletes were looking to book their tickets to the BC Winter Games last night, as the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club hosted zone 8 trials. The competition was originally supposed to take place last Saturday, but was postponed due to cold weather. The top two males and females in the junior category at last night’s races secured themselves at spot at the BC Winter Games, which will go February 22nd to 25th in Kamloops. Nick Vee-ken won the junior men’s category, and says he’s hoping to do well at the Games, based on his past performances in the BC Cup.
