When it’s minus-20 out and there’s tons of snow coming down just like yesterday, what’s one of the last activities you’d think of doing? Going for a bike ride? Well that’s not the case for the Prince George Cycling Club, who held a race yesterday as part of their 2nd annual Fat Bike Festival. If you’ve never heard of fat bikes, they’re essentially mountain bikes with much bigger tires, which make them great for riding in the snow. The sport has really been growing in popularity in Prince George over the last couple of years, and there were about 25 people who took part in the festival over the weekend, which featured a couple of different rides.
