Police Seeking Information From Morning Armed Robbery

SMITHERS – Mounties responded to an armed robbery that took place early this morning. Police were called to a local business on Highway 16 at around 3:30 am this morning.

According to police, a masked man entered the business, produced a weapon and demanded money from the employee. The suspect then fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash. There were no injuries reported at the scene. 

It’s believed that the suspect is male, in his twenties, between 5’8 and 5’11. No other descriptors are known since the suspect’s face was covered.
