BURNS LAKE — A former Mayor of Burns Lake, Luke Strimbold, is facing several sex-related charges.
The 28-year-old was arrested and charged with several counts on February 3rd. He was released on a number of conditions, including a ban from public parks, swimming pools, schools or playgrounds where there may be people under the age of 18. The allegations stem back to 2016.
Strimbold was one of the youngest mayors, elected in 2011 at the age of 21. He was known for his work in the community during a mill explosion in Burns Lake. Police are seeking assistance from the public to further the police investigation.
