Local Judoka Receives Big Donation

One of the best young judokas in all of Canada Tami Goto is trying to raise money to help fund a trip to London, England for a big judo tournament in a couple weeks. And last night she got a big boost. John Brink from the Brink Group of companies joined Goto on the mats at the Prince George Judo Club and presented her a cheque for five-hundred-dollars. Brink was an avid judo athlete himself as a youngster, earning a brown belt in Holland growing up. It’s been 57 years since he’s been on the mats but he tangled a little bit with Goto last night, and by all accounts his skills are still looking sharp! Goto will be joined by her teammate Sydney Edgson at the tournament.
