No Injuries From Afternoon Grass Fire

PRINCE GEORGE – Local fire crews responded to a grass fire on the 4600 block of Zilkie Road this afternoon.
Crews arrived at around 3 pm and quickly extinguished the fire.
There were no injuries or property damage reported.
The cause of the fire was a spark from a power saw that struck a nail in a piece of wood.
A reminder that no burning is allowed within the city except for recreational fires contained within a 2 feet by 2 feet fire pit.
