PRINCE GEORGE – Roughly 120 delegates from across the country are in Prince George for the next three days as part of the Canadian Association of Science Centres conference. They started the day with a tour of Pacific Western Brewing.

The theme to the gathering “Lhulh’Uts’Ut’En,” the Dakelh words for “Working Together.”

Whether the Exploration Place and Science Centre or the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, the challenges are universal.

“Science and technology are here and we solve so many problems. Yet we see some groups of people have turned their backs on science, whether it’s because of things like vaccinations or GMO’s or climate change,” says Maurice Bitran, the CEO of the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. “So it’s important as a society that we understand the value of science and technology.”
