PRINCE GEORGE - Adrenaline junkies will likely hit the hills again for some mountain biking this summer, however, this year's batch of thrill seekers are a bit older than you might expect. Caledonia Nordic is now hosting Senior/55+ mountain bike lessons.

This is not the first senior's event that Caledonia Nordic has been involved in. In the past, it has hosted snowshoe and cross country courses for senior/55+ citizens, but this year it's stepping things up.

Some of the bikers are gearing up to try mountain biking for the very first time are admittedly a little nervous: "I always am when I try something new, so it'll be interesting, I'll see how many times I do fall off," says Grace Morrice, 55+ Mountain Biker.

The course was constructed after an outpouring of interest from the 55+ community. "We got six coaches trained, six senior coaches trained to come out and work with seniors, so the idea is seniors coaching seniors," says Kathi Hughes, Senior Coach.

The course caters to newbies and veterans of the sport. The bikes hit the hill for the first official lesson on May 28.
