Small Business Survey Is Back

The City of Prince George has resurrected a small business survey with a goal of improving its business support programs and services. The in-person survey, which is part of the City’s Business Insights 2018 outreach initiative, will provide staff with a view of many important factors including:

*the local economy
*workforce and business trends and challenges
*expansion and market opportunities
*potential investment attraction ideas

“Business Insights 2018 aims to learn first-hand from stakeholders about the key priorities the City should focus on in 2019 to ensure that Prince George maintains a positive business environment,” says Melissa Barcellos, Manager of Economic Development. “This year, the goal is to meet with more than 60 businesses from sectors where small business is the main employer.”

And the survey yields results. In one of the last surveys, small businesses identified the shortage of skilled labour. That resulted in the City’s “Move Up Prince George” campaign.
