Motorcyclist In Hospital After Morning Crash

PRINCE GEORGE – North District RCMP Traffic Services is investigating after a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike just south of Hixon on Highway 97 this morning. The road was temporarily closed, before opening up to a single lane of alternating traffic. The road is now clear of the incident. No further details are available. 

UPDATE

A 23-year-old man was sent to the hospital with what police are saying are serious injuries following an early morning crash on Highway 97, south of Hixon. A motorcycle heading northbound lost control and the driver was thrown from the bike. RCMP are still investigating and they believe speed was a factor. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the North District Traffic Service at 250-649-4004.
