PRINCE GEORGE – Bikers Against Child Abuse hit the road Saturday to raise money for the local charity. The bikers drove from Quesnel to Prince George as donors pledged hundreds of dollars in money.

“Nobody likes child abuse, we really stand against it, it’s something that’s plaguing the world, and we are sick and tired of it. You know, somebody’s got to stand up for the kids, so we’re that obstacle,” says Kris Gehl (Bear), Bikers Against Child Abuse.

Bikers Against Child Abuse is a non-profit organization that exists to provide aid, comfort, safety, and support for children that have been sexually, physically, and/or emotionally abused. Last year the bikers raised $1,400 for the kids. Proceeds will help children in the bikers’ North Cariboo Chapter.

It’s the 4th year of the event, but the first time they made their way to PG. Last year the bikers did a local ride in Quesnel. Gehl hopes it will become an annual tradition to ride up to Prince George.
