PRINCE GEORGE –  Today is the first annual CrossRoads Street Festival, which celebrates the Prince George outdoor lifestyle, and gets kids moving.

The recurring festival will have rotating themes showcasing recreational sports that are seasonally appropriate throughout the year. The spring season’s theme is biking, paddling, and fishing.

CrossRoads Brewing, along with local recreation clubs and small businesses came together to put on the festival. The activities are aimed to encourage kids to discover new ways to have fun outside.

“We’re trying to make the event interactive, so we have different opportunities, whether people can see what the kayakers are doing, we have a pool setup here, on the fishing side we got a casting pond, where you can do casting on a waterway, and we have the bike track setup as well,” says Bjorn Butow, CrossRoads Brewing.
