VICTORIA – The Ministry of Transportation has announced Tuesday, a $2 million replacement bus service in northern BC after Greyhound reduced and eliminates routes in the region. “BC Bus North will help make sure that people in the North, especially those in rural and remote communities, don’t feel stranded and isolated,” said Claire Trevena, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure. “Once the service is up and running, we’re going to take the next step by working with northern communities to find a long-term solution that delivers a sustainable, affordable solution for these communities.”

The interim service will include two scheduled round trips each week between Prince Rupert and Prince George, Prince George and Valemount, and Prince George to Dawson Creek and Fort St. John. There will also be one round trip offered once a week from Fort Nelson to Dawson Creek and Fort St. John. View the full schedule and fares here.
