PRINCE GEORGE – According to City staff, the latest weather conditions have made it easier for mosquitoes to breed. Walking near the river’s edge at Cottonwood Island park has become some of a challenge in the last few days. The mosquitoes are out in full force looking and looking for their next blood meal. The recent flooding of the rivers had created the ideal pools of water for mosquitoes to breed. According to City staff worker Claire Watkins, the hot and dry weather forecast for next week the mosquito activity will slow.
