2020 Badminton Championship Receives City Support

Last night at City Council, an excited group of badminton fans scored a large contribution in their continued efforts to bring the 2020 Canadian Masters Badminton Championships to Prince George. Our city has already earned the opportunity to host the event, and will now begin applying for grants in order to make it possible. Last night, council approved funding to help support the organizing of the event as well as a letter for a grant application. The week long tournament won’t be played until April 2020, where athletes ranging from 30-80+ will make their way to our city.
