Jun 16, 2018 | 8:10 AM

PRINCE GEORGE –  The Latino-Canadian Association (LCA) is holding its 8th annual fundraising event ‘Viva Lo Caliente’  this evening. Some of the money raised from the dance will go towards putting together a Latino camping trip to introduce Latino families to Canadian culture.

The LCA also plans to run a Latin women social group. The group will provide a space for Latino women in Prince George to get together and share their experiences and challenges living far away from their home countries.

“The idea is to help our Latino families adapt and thrive in Northern BC while maintaining contact with their cultural roots in Latin America,” says Giulliana Tamblyn, Latino-Canadian Association of Northern BC.

Tickets can be purchased at Books & Company for the event taking place tonight at the Hart Community Centre.
