PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars have announced their new General Manager this offseason. Mark Lamb, 53, has signed on as the Cougars’ sixth GM in franchise history, Tuesday morning.

Lamb’s hockey resume spans over three decades having done coaching, scouting, management and playing, including a Stanley Cup with the Edmonton Oilers back in 1990.

“He brings years of experience in player development, coaching and management at both the junior level and at the pro level. In our conversations, it became quite clear Mark shared the same vision our ownership group has for this franchise going forward. By signing a multi-year contract, Mark has shown how committed he is to our organization and Prince George,” said Eric Brewer, shareholder EDGEPRo Sports & Entertainment.

The Swift Current, Saskatchewan product brings a strong work ethic, passion for the game and patience to the role. Lamb comes to the Cougars already familiar with a few faces including Richard Matvichuk, Steve O’Rourke and having coached Eric Brewer.
