DAWSON CREEK – A 35-year-old man is in custody after a vehicle collision led to him fleeing from police, early Tuesday morning.
Dawson Creek RCMP was called to the crash on Highway 97 near the Dangerous Goods Route where a Chevrolet Tahoe failed to stop at a red light and t-boned a Ford pickup at the intersection.
The driver of the Tahoe attempted to flee on foot before stealing a vehicle. Police pursued the suspect until they later found him in some tall grass after abandoning the truck.
While there were no injuries at the collision, the suspect did have some minor injuries during the arrest but received medical attention.
