Man Arrested After Attempted ATV Theft

QUESNEL – A Quesnel man has been arrested by RCMP after attempting to steal an ATV from a home earlier today. Police say the homeowner reported the theft while it was in progress.

The suspect had abandoned the ATV but was found, trying to hide from police.

The man’s court appearance is scheduled at a later date.

“The alert citizen, the quick actions of the officer, their coordinated response and knowledge of the area were key in the apprehension of the fleeing suspect and the recovery of the ATV”, said Quesnel Detachment Commander Staff Sergeant Andrew Burton.
