PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Cougars have released their schedule for the 2018-19 WHL season, their 25th in the league.

The puck will drop Friday, September 21st in Victoria, the city the team migrated from a quarter-century ago.  They’ll kick off their home schedule a week later when they host Kelowna at CN Centre.  The home opener will be one of 10 feature games the club has planned for the year.

The WHL season has been shortened to 68 games this season.  Of the Cougars 34 home games, 23 will be played on a weekend or on a holiday.  Prince George’s toughest month on the schedule will be December when the team will play 2 home games and 8 on the road.  The Cougars playoff push should be supported by playing 9 of their final 14 games at CN Centre.
