Manning Moves to the Windy City

Prince George hockey product Brandon Manning has a new NHL team.

The 28 year old became a free agent after the Philadelphia Flyers indicated they weren’t renewing his contract this spring.

The Defenseman has been picked up by the Chicago Blackhawks on a two year  $2.25 million deal.

During the 2017–18 season, Manning recorded a career-high 7 goals and 19 points in 65 games to help the Flyers qualify for the 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs. The Flyers ended up losing in 6 games to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Manning began his hockey career with the Cariboo Cougars and the Prince George Spruce Kings and played four seasons with the Chilliwack Bruins before moving onto the NHL.
