Nomination Packages Available Soon For CRD Elections

WILLIAMS LAKE – If you’re thinking about running for local office, now is the time. 

Those considering to run for Cariboo Regional District electoral area director, nomination packages will be available starting July 27th. You’ll be able to find them on the CRD website and offices in Williams Lake, Quesnel and 100 Mile House. 

Nomination period starts at 9 am on September 4th and closes at 4 pm on September 14th. 

To qualify, candidates must be a Canadian citizen, 18 years old, B.C. resident for at least 6 months and not disqualified by the Local Government Act from voting in an election in BC. 

The general voting day is on Saturday, October 20th, with advanced polling on October 10th and 15th.
