Outdoor Mini Library Vandalized

PRINCE GEORGE – Vandals set fire and destroyed an outdoor mini library overnight.  RCMP arrived on the scene of the library fire in front of Ron Brent Elementary on 17th Avenue at 3 am this morning.

The officer managed to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher and fire crews arrived shortly after.  

All that remains of the mini-library now are a few ashes.  The kiosk was created through a partnership between School District 57 and the Public Library.  It held books along with flyers and information for students on summer activities.  

Police are hoping someone will step forward with information as to who may have started the fire.
