PRINCE GEORGE — The Fresh Food Fund will be distributing $33,000 to food banks throughout northern BC. This grant program is from a partnership between Food Banks BC and Pembina Pipeline Corporation.

The Prince George Salvation Army will receive a $3,000 grant from the program to help provide perishable products such as dairy, meat and produce for their guests on a more regular basis.

“We are grateful to be able to share a variety of food with our clients, and this grant significantly helps to offset the costs of fresh, nutritious food,” said Bill Glasgow, Donor Relations and Fundraising Coordinator, The Salvation Army – Prince George. With summer donations being typically lower, the Salvation Army says grants like this one are especially helpful during the summer months
