Pacific Bioenergy Gives Humanely

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Humane Society and Pacific Bioenergy have joined forces. Strange bedfellows, you think? Oddly, no.

The Humane Society buys, on average, ten bags of cat litter a week to use in its animal shelter and it recently approached Pacific Bioenergy with an idea: Use pellets in place of litter. It is more environmentally-friendly to dispose of and it cuts down the odour more than litter.

“We approached them with a solution to our problem as well as building a long-lasting relationship. They were on board,” says Angela McLaren, Executive Director for the Humane Society. “So it was very, very exciting that we could save the cost, we can also contribute to the environment and the animals can get the best possible conditions in the shelter.”

For Pacific BioEnergy, it as a no-brainer.
