Vanway Neighbourhood Bear Shows Some Aggression

Aug 9, 2018 | 12:43 PM

PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Conservation Officer Service is getting reports of a black bear showing some aggression towards people. In the past weeks, the CO service has received daily calls of the bear roaming the Vanway neighbourhood in search of garbage. The CO service is having a difficult time trapping the bear, as some residents continually fail to secure their garbage properly, giving bears easier choices.  If you observe dangerous wildlife in an urban area accessing garbage, you are asked to call the RAPP at 1 877 952-7277.
