Strimbold Faces Additional Sex-Related Charges

VICTORIA – More sex-related charges have been filed by the special prosecutor in the Luke Strimbold case.

The additional charges against the former Burns Lake mayor, involve three additional people.  The new charges are contained on a 29 count indictment filed in BC Supreme Court in Smithers.  

The trial will likely proceed by direct indictment, which avoids the requirement of a preliminary inquiry and allows the case to go directly to trial.

Strimbold is scheduled to appear in BC Supreme Court October 1st in Smithers.
