BCNE Feeling Effects Of Wildfire

PRINCE GEORGE- For the second year, the BCNE has had to tweak its plans as the wildfire situation has affected schedules. Last year, rodeo events were cancelled as highway closures made it difficult for livestock to get to the city. A similar situation this summer, as the smoke has prompted the cancellation of barrel racing and team roping. Firefighter Games is also cancelled this year as many are helping with wildfire relief. All Kin 1 vendors have been relocated to Kin 2, as the city may need the space to house evacuees. Everything else is business as usual and for those concerned about the smoke, organizers say Kin 2 has an air-conditioned seating area.
