PRINCE GEORGE- The City says it has registered more than 800 evacuees as of this afternoon. Those needing accommodation have been put into hotels and motels in the city, however, they are filling up and more people are expected this weekend. Mayor Lyn Hall says there are a few options on the table. “We don’t have a lot more room left in commercial accommodation so we’re now looking at what we can do in other communities,” says Hall. He adds he has been in conversation with communities like Williams Lake. Kin 1 has also been set aside for group lodging, just in case. “It would be quite a number of beds that we could put in that location because of the size of the Kin 1 ice surface so that’s an option for us.”
