PRINCE GEORGE – As a precaution, Northern Health is starting to move patients from Stuart Lake Hospital in Fort St James to Vanderhoof as part of advance planning due to the wildfires. This is being done proactively as Fort St James is currently on evacuation alert. The hospital will remain open for urgent care needs unless the status of alerts or orders change significantly. Lab and medical imaging services will also continue.  Family members of patients being transferred can call 250-567-2013 for more information.
