Community Centre Welcomes Pickleball For Activity-Seekers

As part of a partnership with the City and Engage Sport North, different community centers around Prince George are engaging in a variety of sports to help keep people of all ages active. Thursday night at Blackburn Community Centre, a try-it event was hosted for pickleball. What’s referred to as the fastest growing sport in North America, pickleball is a mix of tennis, ping pong, and badminton. Each community centre will be trying three different sports, including activities like horse-shoes, badminton, and archery. As for pickleball, it kept around 15 local participants busy Thursday night; and maybe even longer.
