Woman Charged In Connection To Fraud

WILLIAMS LAKE – A Williams Lake resident has been charged in connection with alleged fraud involving the Special Olympics BC Society between August 2016 and 2017. RCMP received a fraud complaint in October of last year. Police say, Diane Lee, the treasurer for the Williams Lake chapter allegedly forged signatures on multiple cheques for personal gain. She’s been charged with 11 counts of utter forged cheques, one count of fraud over $5000 and one count of theft over $5000. Lee is scheduled to appear in court on August 29th.
