Taking One Step Further With Child Safety

PRINCE GEORGE – Kids are lining up for the opening of the Operation Kid Safe, Child Saftey Centre. At Wood Wheaton Honda the team is giving families the opportunity to be over prepared in the case of an emergency.

There are several Child Safety Centres across Canada but this is the first to be opened in the North and the hopes are to give parents a little bit of comfort when it comes to keeping their children safe. Each child will get a bio document that contains ten fingerprints and a digital headshot with safety tips and instructions included in case they go missing.

There is no database or records maintained, only one copy is made of the documents that parents will get to keep and give to the law enforcement to start an Amber Alert if necessary. Although the program is aimed at children, anyone of any age is invited to take part.

A missing child is a parent’s worst nightmare but by putting your child through this free 30-second system you can be one step ahead.
