Evacuation Alert Rescinded Near Island Lake Wildfire

FRASER LAKE- The evacuation alert that was issued by the Regional District of  Bulkley Nechako for the Island Lake wildfire on August 31 has been rescinded. The area covered from east of Island Lake FSR to east of Nithi Rd and Nithi Pit Rd and south of Francois Lake. However, an evacuation order remains in place for east of the Binta FSR and Binta Blackpoint FSR Intersection, and south of Francois Lake to south of Knapp Lake.
