McLeod Lake Indian Band Bans Moose Hunting On Territory

MCLEOD LAKE-  The McLeod Lake Indian Ban has announced Limited-Entry Hunting for moose will be banned on its entire traditional territory effective immediately. In a release, the Band says the wildfires have not only affected people but wildlife as well. It is banning moose hunting to give the animals time to recover and replenish. It is encouraging other First Nations governments across the province to follow suit.
