Area Restriction Rescinded For Sakeniche Fire

PRINCE GEORGE – An area restriction order has been rescinded by the BC Wildfire Service for areas around the Sakeniche wildfire. It comes as a result of the reduced fire activity and recent progress by firefighting crews. The fire is about 20 kilometres north of Middle River and about 120 kilometres northwest of Fort St. James. BC Wildfire is encouraging the public to be cautious while travelling in the area as it is still an active worksite. Trees may have been damaged and could be unstable.
