PRINCE GEORGE – It took police 8 hours and included a chase halfway across the province, but Mounties say they got their man.

Prince George RCMP say 30-year-old Jesse Juillette was arrested in Valemount Friday night, after being first spotted around 2:00 pm that afternoon along Spruce Street.  Mounties allege Juillette sped away from police initially and raced out of town.

Police allege he nearly struck an officer while blowing through a roadblock on Highway 16, west of McBride.  A public tip led to his arrest in Valemount around 10 that night.

Juillette faces a lengthy list of charges including Flight from Police and Assault with a weapon.  He also is answering to outstanding warrants relating to an incident in Williams Lake in May.
