FortisBC Asks British Columbians to Restrict Gas Use In Wake Of Explosion

PRINCE GEORGE – British Columbians are being asked to curb their use of natural gas in the wake of Tuesday’s massive pipeline explosion northeast of Prince George.

FortisBC says the Enbridge pipeline feeds its system province-wide and that it expects to see a decrease in the flow of gas and perhaps even a complete loss of service from the pipeline.

It’s asking all natural gas customers across BC to turn off their thermostats if possible and reduce their use of all other natural gas appliances, including water tanks and gas fireplaces.
