PRINCE GEORGE — Minerva BC has announced that Prince George will be the first Northern BC city to host its Learning to Lead program, a leadership development opportunity for grade 11 girls.

“We spend the weekend looking at things like values, strengths, who are you, what does it mean to be a leader? We do a mentorship panel where we introduce them to the ideas of mentorship and sponsorships and how that can help them in their decisions around post-secondary and career,” says Tina Strehlke, CEO of Minerva BC.

The Learning to Lead program is being held in partnership with UNBC and is expected to be running by the end of the school year.

Minerva BC has been supporting women and girls across the province through scholarship and leadership development programs since 1999.
