Wanted Man Considered Violent

PRINCE GEORGE — Mounties are seeking the public’s help in locating a wanted man.

Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says a Canada Wide Warrant was issued for 31-year-old Ravinesh Jason Sharma for being unlawfully at large on Aug.8.

“The arrest warrant was issued after Sharma failed to meet the conditions of his release by missing curfew at his designated residence in Prince George,” he says. “Extensive checks have been made throughout the Prince George area, without success.”

Though there have been unconfirmed sightings of Sharma in Prince George, Douglass says it’s likely he made his way to the Lower Mainland or another community.

“Sharma is known to wear all red clothing, a hat and usually wears glasses,” adds Douglass.

He notes he also has an extensive criminal record from offences committed in the Lower Mainland and should be considered violent.

If you know of Sharma’s whereabouts, you are asked not to confront him and to call police instead.
