Suspicious Death West of Williams Lake

ALEXIS CREEK — One man is in police custody after a suspicious death in the Chilcotin.

Mounties say the Alexis Creek RCP were called to a residence at Redstone, located about an hour-and-a-half west of Williams Lake, late last Friday (Oct.19) night.

“Upon attendance, police discovered an adult male deceased,” says North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson. “The death appeared to be suspicious in nature and Alexis Creek RCMP called for assistance from North District Crime.”

She says the suspect will appear in court on Nov.7, 2018 and adds “there is no information to suggest that the greater public is at further risk.”
