PRINCE GEORGE – The YMCA Highland Development Centre has been chosen to offer low-cost childcare for parents.

“The YMCA Highland Development Centre is a community hub for many Prince George families, including francophones, providing inclusive child care and services to children with extra support needs,” said Katrina Chen, Minister of State for Child Care.

As part of the Province’s prototype project, families at the facility will now be paying no more than $200 a month for each child.

The YMCA Highland Development Centre was strategically located in order to be a one-stop for families. It’ll offer 84 child care spaces to parents in the city. In total, parents of about 2,500 children will benefit from this pilot project.
