UPDATE: Air Quality Advisory Ended For Burns Lake

BURNS LAKE – The Air Quality Advisory due to high concentrations of fine particulate matter has ended in Burns Lake. 

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy in collaboration with Northern Health has ended the Advisory due to improved air quality which resulted from changing weather conditions.

Restrictions on open burning are no longer in effect for the Lakes Timber Supply Area. Restrictions on the use of wood stoves are no longer in effect for the Village of Burns Lake.
