PRINCE GEORGE — One person was killed and another two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 16 near Norman Lake last (Wednesday) night.

North District RCMP Cpl. Madonna Saunderson says the crash occurred at around 5:15 p.m.

“Once on scene, police learned that a Toyota pickup had crossed the centre line and struck a Ford Escape. The head-on collision resulted in the death of the driver and lone occupant of the pickup, a 23-year-old man,” she says. “Both occupants of the Ford were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.”

Saunderson says the cause of the crash is unknown at this time but points out the pickup truck had been reported stolen out of Prince George a few weeks prior to the collision.
