PRINCE GEORGE – With the federal election less than a year away, the Leader of the Official Opposition, Andrew Scheer, made a swing through Prince George.

Scheer hosted a town hall meeting with different business people to talk about everything from resource extraction to real estate rule changes.

He says he has no concerns regarding the Cariboo-Prince George riding in the next election, regardless of the close race in 2015.

“You know, I try to get all across the country. I go to safe Conservative seats, I go to seats that are going to be a little bit more challenging for us. I try to get to every part of the country so I can really understand what’s going on,” he says, adding he knows how tight the race was but is not worried about the job Cariboo-Prince George MP Todd Doherty has been doing.
