PRINCE GEORGE – It was a good start and a good finish for the Prince George Cougars Friday night as they took down the Regina Pats 5-3 at home.

It all started with a short-handed goal six minutes in from the Cougars very own Jackson Leppard. Minutes later Joel Lakusta matched Leppard with a goal ending the first 20 minutes 2-0 for Prince George.

The second period kept the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats with a hat-trick from Regina’s Nick Henry and two goals for the Cougars by Josh Maser and Ethan Browne.

Heading into the third, it was 4-3 for Prince George and it stayed that way until the final minute. Josh Curtis put one into the Pats empty net to end the game 5-3 for the Cougars.
