PRINCE GEORGE – Monday morning, the Prince George Youth Soccer Club announced that it will host the 2019 Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial B Cup from July 4th to 7th.

The event will see more than 2,000 participants, spectators and officials over the course of five days.

According to Tourism PG and the Canadian Sports Tourism Alliance’s STEAM, the event is expected to bring in more than $1.3 million in economic impact for the city, and over $1.5 million for the province.

“It’s a significant opportunity for us to showcase the sport, to showcase our athletes, coaches and officials,” says PGYSA’s Director of Club Operations, Terrol Russell.

“It’s an opportunity for us to really be part of the soccer development pathway within the province. We have a significant program plan for the PGYSA over the next five years, this is a big opportunity for us to implement what we term as phase one of our five year plan and it will allow us to set a framework for where it is that we would like to build from over the next five years.”

The games will be taking place at Rotary Soccer Fields, Masich Place Stadium and the Prince George Soccer Association Fields.
