Kings Weekend Split Whisks Away Strong November

Dec 3, 2018 | 6:46 PM

November was without a doubt, the Spruce Kings month, posting 8 wins, and just 2 regulation losses. This weekend, the Langley Rivermen, were in town, where they dealt the Kings one of those losses, before the home team turned the tables Saturday. Dustin Manz opened the scoring in the second with his 14th of the season. After Langley tied it in the third, it was Captain Ben Poisson shooting his shot from the point past Braedon Fleming, who made 41 saves in the lost. Poisson’s 14th of the season as well resulting in the Kings 2-1 win, giving them the split at the end of the weekend after a 4-0 loss on Friday. The team only lost 2 regulation games in November, coincidentally both against the Langley team. The Kings play their next four games at home.
