Queensway & Patricia Blvd Intersection Reopens Thursday

PRINCE GEORGE – After a month of installing a new sewer line, the intersection of Queensway and Patricia Boulevard will be reopening on Thursday. Crews have been working on repaving and light installation at the intersection.

Over the next few weeks, there will still be some minor traffic delays while crews work at the site. In order to connect the new line to the downtown sewer main, further excavation on Seventh Avenue near city hall will take place in the spring.

Also, a new curb and sidewalk will be installed along the east shoulder of Queensway in 2019. The walkway connecting Patricia to Queensway and the one running along the base of Connaught Hill will be opened, but not paved until spring.

The upgraded sewer system is part of the requirement for any large housing or commercial expansion in the downtown. It’s also part of a larger upgrade to ageing infrastructure around city hall.
